Berlín es una banda de New Wave americana cuya vocalista y miembro más mediático del grupo es la cantante Terri Nunn. Su estilo estaba encuadrado dentro del naciente Tecno Pop. Berlín fue formado en el Condado de Orange, California en 1979. Su primer single, «A matter of time» fue grabada en 1980 en I.R.S. Terri Nunn había dejado temporalmente la agrupación para iniciar una carrera actoral, siendo reemplazada en aquella ocasión por Virginia Macolino. Luego fueron fichados por la disquera independiente Enigma Records donde ellos tendrían su primer hit: la polémica canción “Sex (I¨m a. .)» (1982), que fue prohibido por algunas emisoras de radio debido a su letra demasiado explícita. En 1983 dos nuevos singles los catapultan a la fama “Metro” y “Masquerade” que juntos con el anterior hit formaron parte del LP “Pleasure Victim”. En 1984 publican el LP “Love Life” que tuvo menos ventas que “Pleasure Victim” pero de donde salieron dos temas importantes “No more words” y “Dancing in Berlín”. Años después, pasaron al ámbito más comercial con su éxito “Take my breath away” de la película “Top Gun”, que difiere mucho del estilo desenfadado de sus creaciones anteriores. Aparte de Nunn, los miembros principales de la cinta eran el miembro fundador John Crawford (compositor de canciones, bajo y Sintetizador), y David Diamond (Sintetizador y guitarra). Otros miembros de la cinta incluyeron Ric Olsen (guitarra), Matt Reid (Sintetizador), Rob Brill (batería 1982-1987) y Rod Learned (batería 1979-1982). Berlín oficialmente se disolvió en 1987, en parte debido a la carencia de éxito de su álbum “Count three and pray” a pesar de incluir la canción «Take my breath away».

Slinky Vagabond features Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, Clem Burke of Blondie, and Earl Slick (David Bowie's guitarist) and singer Keanan Duffty. Slinky Vagabond made their debut in May 2007 at Irving Plaza as part of Joey Ramone's annual birthday bash.
