I posted a demo of a new track that I'm working on with my new band. We don't have a name yet nor do we have a myspace so I uploaded a song called "Mr. Yuck Face" onto my personal myspace, I will be releasing an EP in a few months followed by a West Coast/Midwest tour in August of 2010. The album will consist of members of Dry River Yacht Club, What Laura Says, Yellow Minute, Attack Of The Giant Squid, and Phortran. Basically all of my friends from my favorite local bands that I have been playing shows with for years will be apart of my newest production.

I will keep you all informed through this site as well as the squid's myspace and facebook profiles. As for CD orders- does anyone know of a site other than paypal that you can link on facebook and myspace? Over and out. tony.

I am currently working on a brand new album/band with the Energy Trio's drummer and What Laura Says' bassist. There will be a number of different collaborators from other Tempe bands as well. The music is moving in a completely new direction and the production value will be much greater this time around. I've learned a lot since I made Ver and I really want this next one to be that album I've always wanted to make but couldn't because of limited resources and a slim budget. So far the music is instrumental but I plan on having guest vocalist on select tracks in the near future. There will be a lot more acoustic guitar layered on top of bigger sounding drums and bass. I'm focusing more heavily on the melodies and harmonies with the drums being the hook. I'm also incorporating more electronics and glitched out loops. It definitely won't sound like the Volta or Mahavishnu Orchestra but the drums will still have that big jazz fusion element.

They're actually a 5 piece band when they perform the songs from the album live. But now they have a singer named Sean Brennan. Their next album is supposed to be a weirdo pop album with many new surprises. It's supposed to be released in 6 months. Once again Tony Patiño is producing and mixing the album.
