1) Arkona (Аркона) (RUSIA): Banda rusa de Pagan/Folk metal. Sus letras están basadas en la historia rusa y la mitología eslava, ellos además incorporan algunos instrumentos tradicionales de la música de Rusia. La banda se formó en el 2002 y desde entonces han publicado 6 álbumes, 1 demo, 1 recopilatorio y dos DVD de conciertos en vivo.

If both of them are using the same name refering to the same burg city it can only mean that both bands are oscillating between the same issue. Those are both Slavic bands, why can't you be glad that there's two bands which have been doing so good stuff about slavic history..? Polish, Russian, f*ck it! Slavic!

    @Ninagara The Russian Arkona spelt both as "Аркона" and Arkona on the cds. So that means Russian Arkona has two spellings so both are correct like it or not. Their record company even calls them "Arkona" http://www.napalmrecords.com/product_info.php?products_id=13770 so it CANNOT be incorrect. This not an unusual situation as many bands are know by two or more variations of their names such as English ska band the Beat is also known as The British Beat and the English Beat depending which country you are in. It is because of the US band the Beat the name was changed in certain locations. The US band the Beat are also known as the Paul Collin's Beat just to confuse things further.
