Damn. That band Anrcho_atlatl was talkin' about is pretty interesting. Their name is Taína Asili y La Banda Rebelde. Taina is doin' something very different from when she was with Anti-Product, but it's awesome nonetheless. Check 'em out.

It's funny. I went to see some free concert put on by the residence halls of my college (Humboldt State) because some friends said that the person had performed with Dead Prez before. It was this world music sort of stuff, mainly Latin influence, and nicely political. It wasn't till after the show that I realized it was the female singer from AP! She was really nice and cool. Her new music is nothing like Anti-Product, but it's still cool. And she was saying that Obama is cool and all, but we can't forget real change comes from the people, and basically slamming on everyone who thinks of him as the savior. I liked that. My friends and I used to go to a lot of shows in Binghamton, NY, many of which Anti-product performed at. The last time I saw them they were playing a line up with the Piss Shivers, we were on the exact opposite side of the punk faction (Anti-product being hardcore vegan and straight-edge, Piss Shivers being everything but). A riot almost broke out in the bar between the two groups of fans and the bands. Good times, good times... :)
