Gotemburgo, Suecia

One of the most enduring d-beat bands ever. Without Discharge we wouldn't have D-Beat. Wasn't for D-Beat (Anti Cimex included in here) we wouldn't have crust. Heres to at least this punk evolution being raw and gritty! :)

I agree. I like (a lot) their earlier material too,but nothing beats Absolut Country of Sweden and Scandinavian Jawbreaker. The only exception is the Victims Of A Bomb Raid 7"which is a real gem (especially the title track)..but still,in my personal opinion it's really too hard to beats songs as UNDER THE SUN,WHEEL OF LIFE,Rose,Braincell Battle,ONLY IN DREAMS...I could go on ;D

I mean, not all fans of Tragedy must be considered as newborn nu-school hipsters with no knowledge at all about punk/hardcore/crust..or you would have to call in those ways people who are the double of our age(or even oldier),who are into this movement from decades, that gave their contribute to create/evolve it and are still so active in bands, labels, recordings, places and so on..and i could name many "famous" people..and Tragedy themselves were active in this scene from before most of us were even born or were just too young to even know the word punk...their only big fault is that they've just tried to create their own sound, resulting in bein enjoyable not only for crusties and old school hardcore kids..but hey,i've never seen them on mtv,or playin in some mainstream big club, they're not on some major, their lyrics (have you ever read them?) still rules, they're still into the underground the point is: u like them?good. u don't? ok..just don't hate without a proper reason!

@Red Armada: well,i don't think they were born as a Discharge rip-off (and luckily they've created their own sound),but well,it's impossible to don't hear the influence of Discharge in Anti-Cimex (as in the majority of the most famous svedish and generally scandi-core bands of those days)..i think is not just worshippin but an evolution of the tipical Discharge sound..but still,Discharge are clearly the basement! and well,i personally do not tag them as crust, but as proto-crust (the most d-beatin side of crust,as for Doom,Hiatus..ya know) since it's also impossible to don't consider bands as Anti-Cimex essentials (as much as punk bands as Amebix,Antisect and then Deviated Instict,Axegrinder and all the other stench-core era related bands..that i infact still consider as proto-crust) for the development of what we call crust. Of course not all studded things as to be related with crust (this is nowadays-ignorance) but hey.....i'm a fuckin Tragedy fan..i love their music..SO fuckin WHAT?
