Surgido de las cenizas de Necromancia en Junio de 1995, Anorexia Nervosa comenzó como un experimento que buscaba la locura a través de la música, pero que se encontraba lejos de ser metal. Sin embargo, tras un primer album conceptual, la banda decidió reiventarse y crear un estilo propio de Black Metal sinfónico, poderoso, monumental y majestuoso que evocaba con mayor precisión la concepción romántica y nihilista de sus miembros. Sus letras hablan de violencia, depresión, suicidio, odio, desamor, sexo y redención y son cantadas en inglés, francés y alemán.

To me Ultaviolence Uber Alles would be most similar album compared to AN Drudenhaus/ New Obscuntaris Order style. Agreed that new CNK isn't anything like Anorexia Nervosa.

@ Hreidmar went back to his old band The CNK. You'l like CNK if you like Anorexia Nervosa No, it's 2 differents Metal. Mr Hreidmarr was so good in Anorexia Nervosa, I know him, it was difficult to leave this band. But he's in The CNK now, he's great too. It's not the same kind of music.

lol. I discovered this band by acident when I was downloading Disturbed music on 4shared. I searched for "disturbed zip file" hoping to find whole albums so i wouldn't have to track down every single song, which is a pain. I found a zip file entitled "disturbed" about the size of an album, and i downloaded it. I got lucky. it wan't Disturbed, but it was disturbing. It turned out to be an Anorexia Nervosa album.

It's hard to decide which I love more: Drudenhaus, or New Obscurantis Order. The former has songs like A Doleful Night in Thelema, God Bless the Hustler, Tragedia Dekadencia, and The Red Archromance, but the former has Mother Anorexia (one of my personal favorite AN tracks of all), Stabat Mater Dolorosa (my second personal favorite), and Ordo ab Chao: The Scarlet Communion. So difficult to choose...
