Animal Liberation Orchestra (también conocido como ALO) es una banda de rock y jam proveniente del sur de California. Está conformada por Zach Gill (teclado/voces), Steve Adams (bajo/voces), Dan Lebowitz (guitarras/percusión/voces) y Matt West (batería/Voces).
Se forma hace años con el nombre de Django. Con el tiempo, cambian su nombre a Animal Liberation Orchestra y se unen a la firma de Jack Johnson llamada Brushfire Records.
Han lanzado dos albums completos y varios EPs y albums independientes, incluyendo Time Expander.
