    The first band I ever truly loved, a band that I listened to over and over was Tenacious D, which, if it says nothing else, says how long I have been involved in the music scene.

    The thing is, I don't even like comedy rock that much at all (except for Allan Sherman which isn't comedy-rock, but comedy-music nonetheless). It was the music that got me.

    I was raised on classic rock, even when I payed no attention to music, all the great classic rock bands were played regularly at my house and in the car and everywhere. My parents didn't keep up with new music, because you really do have to dig down to find the good stuff, to be perfectly honest. Anyway, what I noticed when I first listened to Tenacious D is how well crafted the music truly was. I can't remember where I heard of them, or what the first song of theirs I heard was; it all just comes back to me just having their CD, and constantly playing it.
