I saw her perform a 4 song set (DANCE WITH U, Cry For You, When I wish upon a star and ONE) today, and met her after. She was really friendly, and her English was great. Told her Apple Pie was my favourite, hah. Here are some photos.
i like her R&B sound as well which is what got me into her the first place but its just that with U&I theres some meh-ness to it. DANCE WITH U, Too Late and Still In Love were the songs i enjoyed the most especially DWU. i hope she doesnt work with GIORGIO again as well as i do miss Ayuse's sound; GIORGIO has produced some good songs but a lot of his stuff sound so similar that it does get somewhat bland pretty quickly
I agree that a majority of the songs all sound similar, but I still enjoy the album nonetheless. Simply Good had a few odd pure "pop" songs thrown around, but I'm glad AYUSE went for a more RnB sound on this album. It suites her IMO
the new album is good but only a few of the songs really stood out to me...i guess i prefer her previous albums more as the songs are more varied, fun and experimental since Ayuse produced it herself. imo U&I has too many songs that sounds very similar to each other -but then again GIORGIO produced it so...-
