Out of the recommendations, PRE is probably the closest if you're interested in similar music.

So it's quite possible Ningen is probably the "Gets old FAST" album of the year. It ran out of steam faster than the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs.... ouch. Let's hope the new Maximum the Hormone stays fresh for longer than a week.

Hm, what about Limited Express (has gone?). I'd say they're doing something somewhat similar, but it's like comparing cucumbers, okra and zucchini.

[Maybe the first EP was different though] YES! And people don't compare them because they sound like a "female-fronted crazy japanese rock band" but because both Midori and 385 are literally the only popular Jp bands dealing with Punk-Jazz-Funk n' shit

I really don't get the Midori comparisons. The first band I thought about when listening to Ningen was Tsushimimare. Maybe the first EP was different though, but anyway, people need to stop thinking that Midori is the epitome of female-fronted crazy Japanese rock band. And I love Midori btw.

v Haha, what I wrote is supposed to be read as: if only I could accept her voice, maybe I'd agree on them being the better band.

Maybe if I could only learn to accept Mariko's voice.
