After some help from a friend investigating what Turn-A was all about, I'm convinced they're breaking up because they don't have the funds to continue.

i've listened to some parts again. you're basically right. alchemica doesn't have any (longer) solo. it would have been "better" if they'd have left out the "breaks" between the parts and made it more cohesive, that's right! but also, like you've said, it doesn't get boring at all, i guess this is one of the best indie vk songs of the last 3 years.

Kumanosuke, im not familiar with Dir en Grey but i can say that Art of Life from X Japan is a different story. It has 1 opening (and no breakdown apart from the piano in the middle), a few different verses (but still with motives and repeating elements) and 1 drawn out main chorus that gets repeated a few times. Its a much more consistent piece, also because the style within the song stays the same (although it has an dissonant piano section in the middle). Here, there are certainly different styles, and its to obvious that it wasnt really meant to be 1 cohesive song, since there is no general medley or chorus, drums and guitar keep changing etc (which makes sense it are basically 4 songs) and because of the transistions that arent very clever sometimes (like the transistion between movement 1 that suddenly ends with a guitar interlude, which is obviously a guitar OUTRO, which is normal to end a song with, and movement 2). But still; A(Ace) did very good job nevertheless :)

that's right, actually it is 4 songs... but how would you make a 40 minute song as "one" song? it's always "more songs". like vinushka by dir en grey or art of life by x japan, it's the same with them. also they "delay" a lot. the song "really" starts at 3:30.

They also combine loads of genre's. Its nice to see Visual kei do something else other then generic rock. Although i wished they went more into the classical espects etc. One other thing i noticed that some transitions are a bit messy. Some parts just dont go together. Other then that, i would want to say that they did everything to keep this song sound fresh and varied. Really. At every moment of the song, shit is going on. There is no moment where they repeat a certain phrase to much or were the song gets boring. Not a single moment. Its crammed with interesting stuff. Overal; good record, and a VERY good record for Visual kei.

Elementa Alchemica is nice indeed, but i must say that it are basically four songs. You cant tell me it is 1 long song, because thats really not the case here. Yes they put in all the elements in 1 record and stich them together with openings etc but that does not make it 1 song. Look at the structure of the songs, all 4 elements of the song has is own chorus, bridge and verses. All of the elements have their own opening too, and its pretty clear where one song ends and where the other one starts. Which is a shame imo. I was expecting a Art of Life esque song, or a song like The One. But other then that, i really enjoy this record. For Visual kei this is probably one of the best things ive heard (better then The One). Its vary varied, it has alot of violin parts, and enough guiter interludes. In fact, the guitar is very technical for visual kei, you dont see that alot. And overal, it sound very fresh for visual kei. The harmonic parts with violin and guitar are also very nicely done...

I'd have to say that Elementa Alchemica is brilliant. I love it; I fucking do. My favorite has got to be 水の楽章, although the rest of the song is... Intense. Kudos.

@SamuraiSx: so you think visunavi and other pages know better what the band name is than nimo himself. ridiculous. it also won't even offend them. they don't even give a fuck about lastfm because they have no clue it even exists. this is the right tag. period.

Protip: The artist doesn't give a fuck and if you think they do you're being silly. Also, it's hard enough for anyone to know about this band with this extremely generic name. If anything, having multiple pages for the artist will make it easier for someone to find out about them. All this arguing and respect the artist junk just means that you spend more time looking at your music than you do listening to it.

@ColdNRG cause using wrong name can offend the artist, also its harder for fans to know about band if its milion tags on last and no one cause of wrong info know which one is right. it's like for Metallica you use tag METAL and tell everyone that. it just confuses and isnt right. its ok to listen music but listening properly is ok.

@Kumanosuke you are just using ONE TWEET as prove? O.O Nimo didn't know what you meant, and you even didn't udnerstand what he was saying ! name is A but it means ACE- he just told you the name and meaning. as official NAME and TAG it's A(エース). EVERYWHERE is A(エース) ! also I asked visunavi and other japanese sites for selling albums they said ALL that A tag is for old band and for ace is A(エース). also on their OFFICIAL WEBSITE is written A(エース). on their MVs is written A(エース). so please don't tell wrong things and spill up wrong info to others cause of your tweet who isnt any prove. PRONOUNCIATION is: Anonymous Confederate Ensemble .
