Yunho and Changmin obviously had to adapt, they lost 3 very distinct vocal styles when JYJ left and they couldn't just fake it for the sake of keeping their "old" sound. I personally love both what they did then and what they're doing now. But as an AKTF fan, hell yes do I want them to do more work as five. It will be different from before, but those voices really can do so many different things, so I don't have a problem with them adapting whatsoever.

Yet no one seem to understand these facts. There's no such a thing as 'bring the old DBSK back'. If the 5 of them stayed together they would change within K-pop scene as well. Anyways, I don't really hide my high preference for how DBSK is now. At the end of the day it's all about opinion and likings. Now > before for me.

But it's for that specific reason that everyone should quit comparing their current musical output to what they did as a 5. Like, I'm not a deluded stan and I know it's inevitable that they'll always be compared, but at the end of the day their musical style had to chance because a) I highly doubt they could pull off their old sound to the same standard as they did as a quintet and, b) the K-pop scene as a whole has changed and they've had to change with it. That's just how it is. [4]

it's just musically, they are two separate groups now tbh. [2] But it's for that specific reason that everyone should quit comparing their current musical output to what they did as a 5. I'm still waiting for the day to actually like any song of DBSK post-MIROTIC / THSK post-TSC. I'm trying... But the current DBSK/THSK is just not "it". [2] i actually loved keep your head down / tone eras too, but for the most part i'm the same, i like most of their stuff as duo, but i don't love it. but it's bc i REALLY loved their stuff as five. i'm not even one of those fans who say keep the faith!!! .. i like them as a duo, it's just musically, they are two separate groups now tbh.
