XD if I came out a bit biting towards the end, it wasn’t my intention. It was more like “meh. whatever, cbb hating it”. but i do get what you mean and i also prefer their melodic sound. but this new album will potentially benefit them with new listeners and experimenting lets them get a sense of what works for them or doesn't, so they can improve or develop further styles.

For me, most of Chronicle's are kind of annoying. However, other songs in the 1st album, for example, almost remember me to Pink Floyd... and I think that is great! really like their new album. it doesn't sound any different to their older works, the familiar elements are there, they've just spiced things up a bit with faster melodies, heavier drumwork and less melodious or softer vocals in some tracks. there's a variety of styles or sounds in chronicle, which is fine freaking dandy for me.
