• My take on the music world... Well, my music world XD

    26 Ene 2009, 21:02 de Ganny

Okay, things are looking very exciting musically. Right, who should I start with?

Utada Hikaru has finally come out of hibernation, transformed into Utada and actually is going to give us some new matieral, in the form a new english album! Seriously, I was getting really annoyed when she kept releasing stuff like Prisoner Of Love. Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but she's already released it on her album. I wanted something new. And now I'm gonna get it! Yay! At first, I thought this was going to sound really bad, a new english album, considering how much I disliked Exodus (Yes, I did give it a chance but it didn't stick with me D:) but actually, Come Back To Me is one of my fave tracks now! (It's already got 400+ plays on my iPod lol)

Also, Tsunku is back composing for morning musume!!! Nai Chau Kamo actually sounds MM-ish, rather than all the cover stuff they've been doing recently. Some facts I picked up from the PV: 1) Junjun is the most energetic dancer in MM. …
  • Why does everyone hate Kusumi Koharu?

    11 Abr 2008, 9:41 de Ganny

Seriously, why? I don't understand. Sure, she ain't that great singing and some poeple might hate her smile, but 久住小春 isn't the worst person in morning musume. In fact, Mitsui Aika is probably the worst voice in morning musume.

And as for trying to be cute...

According to an interview (Which I have't got a link for, but it's somewhere on Hello! Online), that is the image that つんく♂ wanted her to be. She actually prefers to be the 'cool' image, but with 田中れいな and 亀井絵里 taking up that part, she's stuck with cute with 道重さゆみ.

    Name/Nickname: SyntaxE

Favourite J-Pop male artist: Tsunku?? It's probably the only one I know LOL.
Favourite J-Pop female artist: Maki Goto, ayumi hamasaki and Utada Hikaru. I think especially Hikki.
Favourite J-Pop group: morning musume, DUH!
Favourite J-Pop song: Country Musume - Uwaki na Honey Pie
Favourite J-Pop album: Foxxi misQ - Gloss
Favourite J-Pop PV: I don't really watch JPOP videos but if I must pick one, I think I prefer Go Girl! Koi no Victory by morning musume

Which artist got you into J-Pop: Utada Hikaru is the first Japanese artist I ever listened to, but I became a fan because of Maki Goto and Mai Kuraki.
Artist/group you really can't stand: Hahahaha.. I cannot stand male singers that try to sound emotional or lil ass boys trying to sound kawaii. My JPOP needs to be female!
Most ichiban kawaii of them all: Ai Kago
Most like to be J-Pop idol boyfriend/girlfriend: Ai Takahashi. I'd be bisexual.

while browsing different things and listening.

    first listen to Dschinghis Khan
then listen to Koi no Dance Site

eeeh?! there definitely are some sort of similarities going on there.
and here I was wondering where I'd heard this Dschinghis Khan track before, and why I liked it so much... pssshh.

Seems composer and foundator つんく♂ was really paying attention to the 1979 :P

And he wasn't the only one, turns out that popular Jewish singer Mordechai Ben David wrote Yiddish lyrics for this song and that this version is extremely well known in the Orthodox Jewish community. It is often played at Weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs!

The probably don't know where it is from thought o_O

    sources: my ears and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dschinghis_Khan

adamamnum: apparently Jingisukan is a direct cover of the Dschinghis Khan song again. The plot thickens.....
  • Rant about sexy Musumes, Doramas, Hot Guys and a Cover

    12 Sep 2007, 0:05 de Gnilp

I wanna talk about hot Musume girls. Actually there's still a good amount of hotness left in morning musume. Most of this hotness is provided by Risa, Kamei, Sayumi, Takahashi, Reina, and JunJun. Of course there's couple of totally annoying kids. I don't wanna name names but ^^KusumiAika^^.

Sayumi is so freakishly gorgeous nowadays that it's scary. Kamei can't get any cuter. Ooh, Tettekete does the monkey dance so sexily. Risa is so beautiful. And Reina hasn't smiled in 5 years.

There was a brief period when Musume was a 16-person mix of pure hotness. 2 of these hotties have teamed up just recently and they happen to be in my all time favorites so it makes me extra happy to see that naked girl and the sexy sporty one together.

This has always been one of my favorite Musume pics as everyone looks so gorgeous. Risa still has old-school hairdo and Tsuji is adorable (how long pregnant is she anyways?) Also the…

Former morning musume member iida kaori is going to get married...

Former member of the popular idol group Morning Musume Kaori Iida (age 25) will tie the knot with Kenji (age 28), vocal for the now defunct band 7House which was produced by Tsunku. It was announced by Kaori's agency on the 6th that she is also 10 weeks pregnant. She will leave her activities after completing the "Morning Musume 10th Year Anniversary concert tour ~Summer '07 Thank You My Dearest~" that will take place between 8/11 and 9/1.

Kaori Iida was a first generation member of Morning Musume, served as the group's 2nd leader and graduated in January '05. Kenji made his debut in '99 and his group disbanded in '02. After that he left the music world and began working as an office work.

And Mainichi Shinbun also posted Kaori's full official statement.

"I feel really happy right now"

Thank you for your continuing support. I, Kaori Iida have decided to get married. …

The last release week of January sent the whole lot at J-music fans. The most anticipated release? Easily REDEMPTION, which will also be the theme song for the upcoming FF7AC tie-in game Dirge of Cerebus. His first single since DIABOLOS is a goth-rock affair, with two solid songs that are great listening. The only disconcerting thing would be the sudden interjection of synth organ horror ride music in LONGING, but it's easily overlooked.

Other hyped releases this particular week included No Regret (the 8th in 倖田來未's 12-single lineup and a non-limited one). The second opening song to animation うえきの法則 (Ueki no Housoku) and replacing Falco -ファルコ-, it's dramatic upbeat pop nature screams "anime theme" from the beginning.

On the other hand, it's one of the few singles in Kodaku's series that I actually remember, since I rather like Ueki and it's reminiscent of her older single Crazy 4 U. (Summarily, I quickly dismissed Rain (Unplugged version), so let's not go into it.)

  • Music in 2006 Part Deux

    14 Feb 2006, 2:57 de Wacie

Okay, so remember those CDs I bought in the last entry. I got some of 'em today. I listened to most of the tracks (I didn't listen to most of the instrumental tracks, 'cause they're boring).

As far as the H!P shuffle units go, what I want to know is where is everybody? Usually they try a little harder to have big groups with fun, crazy songs. Yeah, that didn't happen this year. I don't really like these small groups. Also, the songs were kind of snoozy. Elegies had the best one, because it was the only upbeat song. The Sexy Otonajan wasn't that bad, but the kids turned me off. I think they could've paired Miki Fujimoto with someone besides one of the H!P Kids and a member from BerryZ Kobou. They did a great job, but it's a little unnerving nonetheless. Finally, Puripuri Pink's song was snoozy, too. I really liked the pink outfits, and I liked the idea of having all the H!P vets in one group. It really made me sad to see how many people got left out of shuffles last year. …
