Who Is Your Favorite Member?

A hard question to answer for any Pepper-head, considering we like them all so much, but I figure, why not see what the consensus is.

I'd have to say that, though I like them all in an insane amount, Flea is my favorite. I play bass, and I idolize him, so that's probably why, but he's just such an integral part of the band, that, without him, the Peppers wouldn't be the Peppers. He's so talented at his craft, and can do so much musically, it's hard not to say that he's a genius. Besides that, he's such an oddball and such a great kidder and just someone who enjoys life so much that it's impossible to not like him.

My thoughts. Anybody else?

Yeah id have to say that Flea is my favorite too, but that doesnt mean i dont love or appreciate the rest of the band. Like the above, I too play bass and idolize Flea, his slap lines are intense and hes sucha goof its hard not to like him. If you dont idolize Flea i think after you watch this you might come around.....

I think that they all are pretty fucking good. Especially Flea and John Fusciante although i don't like John's solo albums...

And yeaah... those Flea's funk slaps really kicks ass so i think I have to say that Flea is THE BEST!

How can you ruin a perfectly good fire by making smoke?

I can't really say.. all of the current members I suppose.

You've got Flea, who is the best bassit on earth. You've got Chad, who is in the World Record Books for playing the World's largest drum kit. You've got John, who is a brilliant guitarist who's backing vocals are superb and also has done fantastic with his solo career. And finally you have Anthony, who is a brilliant character with a beautiful voice and is also a brilliant rapper. Anthony is an inspiration to me though, has been from the beginning. So, if I had to choose I'd have to say Antone and Frusciante..

thats a really hard one... hm I suppose it would be either john frusciante or anthony. john is definetely my favourite guitarist and he has got such a beautiful voice. he so bloody talented that it blows me away.
one you have got anthony who just really gives the songs their character with his voice.
but you´ve got also flea and yep, he is so funny! its funny to seeing him playing the bass, he´s got the groove!! :)
and we shouldnt forget chad, who just makes the band complete. I think each member is putting a special kind of personality into songs and the band so I guess thats why they are such a good band!

Favorite member of the band

I totaly agree with TundraWolf: the bassist of the Peppers (Flea) plays really good and he is my favorite (I try to play bass as well).

Flea, by far. I read Scar Tissue and although many may say that Anthony kept the band together [I have nothing against Mr. Kiedis], it was really Flea who kept them together. He was never once kicked out of the band and always tried to keep things in place. If it weren't for him, the Red Hot Chili Peppers may not even exist today. And he's the sickest bassist ever.

Chad, simply cos' he plays drums, as do I. Extremely talented, not to mention the Peppers' drums are so unique from other bands.

Hillel was damn cool, and such a great guitarist. Flea is of course an unbelievable slap bassist, and Chad is an epic drummer. John and Dave also bring/brought alot to the band in their different styles. But my favourite band member is Anthony. He has an unbelievable vocal range, not in tone but in style. And having just read "Scar Tissue" (which I would highly recommend), he's a fantastically deep and interesting person too. :D

kiedis is the most entertaining. flea ... best basist in the world. john is different but amazing at what he does. chad is just chad ... dunno!

It is soo hard to just pic one of them. They are all brilliant! But If I haft to pic one it will be Flea. I just love the way he plays and he is so funny. The way the moves in the videos always makes me laugh, specially in All around the world and Can't stop.

Anthony. I've loved him since I was like 4. I've always adored his hair. I actually didn't like Californication for about a month because he cut his hair. It was pretty devastating *shifty eyes* Heh.

I love his style. He plays his guitar just like a good. I love his effects, his solo albums his backing vocals and just everything.

Flea:
I don't know a better bass player. His lines don't just follow the ones of the guitar. He's really freaky and I like it.

Anthony Kidies (?):
Although he's not sooo good at singing I love his voice. Espacially on the new Stadium Arcadium.

Chad:
I don't know so much about drums but he's not so special for me. I like him.
