Bronx, others to "Rock The Rabbit" with exclusive Playboy shirt designs

Famous men's magazine Playboy has enlisted the aid of a number of musicians for their new Rock The Rabbit (NSFW) clothing line. The shirts will be designed by a number of notable artists including The Bronx, The Flaming Lips, Monsters are Waiting, Metric and more.

According to Playboy, the new initiative caps off the third year of their "rock-and-roll fashion shoot" which happens anually in March. For this issue, the magazine wants to feature musicians, but also asked each act to design original shirts using their own spin on the Playboy "bunny" icon.

The shirts will be auctioned off for charity, and are yet to be unveiled. Here is an exclusive look at the Bronx's contribution to the project.

Taken from The Bronx's official homepage:
so, we designed a shirt for playboy that is going to be auctioned off and 100% of the proceeds go to AIDS research for lifebeat.org

that's right. doing something nice. don’t worry - we won't start recycling cans or any tree hugger shit like that. shirt is basically a grip of cigarettes burns into a white shirt with a Bronx pin on it. approx. 250 cigs were harmed in creating this mess.

  • Hahah that's actually pretty cool. Wonder if that'll go for about 300$ too or whatever it was, like their signed charity Ouija board did.

    Reckon Joby did the handiwork?

I wish I won the Ouija board! I'm going to try to bid on this as it's for a great cause. I don't know who did the work but I also assume it's Joby.

Did you end up buying one of them from their merch store?!

I hope you win this one! And if you do you totes have to take a picture of it and post it here :D

It's good that all of it goes to research - I hate those ones where they're like '...and we'll give 50c for every 10$ to blablabla'. Never understand why they do it that way for. Seems lame.
