Totally agree with you, I'd say on EP I prefer Hendrix playing with Michell and Noel, but concerning live the best one is by far => Fillmore East the with Band Of Gipsys, Billy and Buddy made such a perfect rythm section!!

Jimi didn't always record with Mitch and Noel. Examples include: Band of Gypsys (my favorite), Live at Fillmore East, First Rays of the Rising Sun (had Mitch on some tracks but no Noel), Live at Woodstock (Mitch but no Noel), Valleys of Neptune (has Noel and Mitch on most but not all tracks), Blues (has them on some but not all), and of course West Coast Seattle Boy has plenty of tracks without Mitch and Noel. There are more examples but I believe I've sufficiently proven that Hendrix recorded music separate from The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Tag Hendrix correctly, big up Billy and Buddy!

Yeah, as far as I'm know Band Of Gypsys was an album title released under the name Jimi Hendrix.

Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold As Love, and Electric Ladyland are The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Band of Gypsys, First Rays of the New Rising Sun, etc. were post-Experience and released as just Jimi. THE MORE YOU KNOW

Feel free to copy paste this on the Jimi hendrix page when you have some time left: Please tag Jimi Hendrix as "The Jimi Hendrix Experience", He never went solo!! You can also vote for the correct spelling at this page. somewhere on the bottom right you see this: "Is this artist name wrong or misspelt?" followed by "suggest a correction". And there you can vote for changing tags to "The Jmi Hendrix Experience" . Please do. thanks.

I really sory if it make you disgusted, but I think Mitch and Noel was far in the background when they play with Jimi Hendrix and is a only small difference between tag 'Jimi Hendrix' and 'The Jimi Hendrix Experience'. For example many of songs, witch are on Axis or Are You was played by Jimi solo before group times.

Normally I'd agree, but for the purpose of personal statistics (and more importantly) the sanity of my media library, I lump all my Jimi stuff under 'Jimi Hendrix.' "Foxy Lady" sounded different when played by the Band Of Gypsys than the Experience, but i'd still want it counted together since it's Jimi's show all the way, regardless of how great his supporting musicians were.

The album cover of Band Of Gypsys says "Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys", so I see BoG as the name of the album and I tag it as Jimi Hendrix.

Plus, the other dudes in the Experience were white. Ergo they can suck a fucking dick.

The Experience wasn't the only Hendrix group, silly fools. Band of Gypsys, Gypsy Sun and the Rainbows...silly silly.

It's a common problem. Look at Eric Clapton of The Yardbirds, Cream, Derek and the Dominos, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, and also his solo work. WTF. It's convenience thats all, and hey ppl start tagging wrongly and let us be happy.
