Questions!

Is there any word on a price yet? They can't keep it secret until release surely...

Also, anyone know if its got a battery? Or is it just mains powered?

Ok, wait for it: 599 uk pounds with free shipping...

The reason they are this price is because they are almost hand made at the moment in Japan, they will be available in limited numbers over the next few months from www.tenori-on.co.uk and selected record shops around the UK.

Oh and yes it is also battery powered and comes with a power supply.

£599??? Noooooooooooo!!! That price makes me cry. I must have one on launch day, the very second they're available online. I can't wait till next year. Damnit, my wallet is going to hate me, and my bank even more so.

I was really hoping for about £250. Any idea how much it will go down to? Although it doesnt matter, I'd get one on release if it cost me my kidney. Oh that price is so evil, I wish I took the overtime at work. :(

Any idea how many it takes? And how long they'll last?

it takes 6AAs if my memory serves me correctly.. also the battery life is surprisingly long :0)

Those pictures are beautiful. I've been following this on my website (onetonnemusic.com) and I'm dying to try one out. Don't know if I can justify $1499AUD for one just yet, any word on what the production model might cost?

Ok, there are no plans to lower the price of the TENORI-ON in the future.. i have amended my post above to stop any further confusion.

Damn thats a shame. I don't know alot of people with £600 to spare. And I do hope it sells well.

Just joined looking for contacts for developoment !

Hi,

I have a Tenori, but dont like the lack of upgrades by Yamaha (think YAMAHA has already drop it !), was wondering if anyone had an insider they know, who could possibly get hold of some source, so someone else could develop it...

Its an amazing piece of engineering, just needs a few tweats !
