yeah i got the jerry seinfeld "live on broadway" cd on my computer but my favorite all time is definitely David Cross. Funniest man alive in my opinion. From standup to Tv (arrested development) to movies (scary Movie)and definitely the best sketch comedy show ever...Mr Show.

    "You know.."

Listening to David Cross right now, and I can't help noticing that he says "you know" and "fucking" about twenty times in every sentence :P

    Great humour though :D

Patton Oswalt, for sure. Feelin' Kinda Patton is in permanent shuffle on my iPod; it makes for a great break between organ-smashing rock muzak.

My little brother and I can break each other up with the simple line, "What if Jack Nicholson was a flabbity-bloo?"

Patton Oswalt also has this special edition ep called "Patton vs. alcohol vs. Zack vs. Patton. It's a 25 minute set of Patton completely fucked up, i mean drunk as hell trying to do standup. So Zack Galifinikas comes out and starts playing the piano during a bit because he says patton needs sad music to go along with how bad his set is. Then Zack and Patton go back and forth making fun of each others film/tv careers. funny shit.

    Eddie Izzard

Without a shadow of doubt my favorite is Eddie Izzard.
Lot's of other stand-ups are top notch (e.g Dylan Moran and Dane Cook) but only Eddie manages to pull it off without offending anyone and giving you a history lesson at the same time ;)

    "Sooooo, yeah, the Romans!"

i would have to say mine are mitch hedberg, brian regan, frank caliendo, lewis black and richard jeni

We all have our time machines, while our memories send us to the past, our dreams send us to the future.
  • Zach Galfianakis, so underrated

Spike Milligan. An inspired loony without equal, although not technically a stand up comic.
Al Murray, Emo Philips, Bobcat Goldthwait and Dane Cook also warrant inclusion.
Could I also get away with mentioning Henry Rollins? :)

Just been listening to Marc Maron, funny guy well worth checking out.

  • The Silverman/Oswalt/Posehn/Galifianakis posse are all phenomenal.
    Eugene Mirman is quite fantastic.

There really are too many amazing comedians doing different things, it's too hard to pin it down to one but if I had to say it..

Doug Stanhope is probably my all time favourite.

She's not going to be whining about taking it in the ass if she has a big hunk of metal in her snatch.

Just watched Dylan Moran's 'Monster' live show. Stunningly good if you can find a copy. Extremely dry and more than alittle bit surreal.
