This group is for lovers of all variations of Ska and Reggae. There is no evaluation of your charts, because if you love other music that's cool too! PIck It Up! Pick It Up!

Back when I was 14 or 15 (1995-1996) I discovered Ska/Ska-Punk. It was love at first listen. Ska eventually hit the mainstream. Bands like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, and Less Than Jake got signed to major labels, and eventually Ska became another fad that died a miserable death. Die hard Ska fans kept a very small tight knit underground that grew into another Ska revival a few years ago. It stayed mostly underground, but it sure was fun to go to Ska shows! I am mostly an expert on mid to late 90s Ska so if you are a new wave Ska expert hit me up and you can help me out with what bands are kicking ass now. Oh and I haven’t forgotten about Reggae. I do love me some Reggae, but the main focus of this group will be Ska.

    I was watching my favorite movie, Good Burger (Still funny after all these years) and I heard the Ska song that Kel sings and I thought to myself, "That sounds like Less Than Jake..." Went to the credits and sure enough, Less Than Jake did the music for it. Awesome. I need to get that song.
