3 our of your top 5 bands are indie bands I've never seen the great obsession with, but otherwise pretty good. A littlew variation wouldn't go amiss though.

It’s a scientific fact that emo is the world’s queerest music. No, that’s not just my opinion. It’s empirical. You can pull out your oscilloscope, your Bunsen burner, your Jacob’s ladder, whatever. Run emo through it, and it’ll turn pink. It’s also a scientific fact that metal is the world’s most socially awkward music. Listening to metal means having absolutely no idea what’s cool. Metal is a guy in a faded dragon t-shirt drawing pictures of hot barbarian babes on his binder. Metal is trying to attract girls by having swordfights on the quad with PVC pipes wrapped in duct tape.

Furthermore, it is beyond dispute that prog-rock is the nerdiest music in the world. Prog-rock is all about geeks writing computer programs to settle the Neil Peart vs. Mike Portnoy debate. Prog-rock bands are so desperate to be high art that they’re content to sidestep art altogether, resulting in fat guys in pillbox hats playing ten-minute solos on fourteen-string basses. Prog-rock is an elaborate, terrified denial of the fundamental rock and roll fact that no matter how virtuosic and sophisticated a band gets, some junior-high dropout could step up with a guitar with four broken strings and play a song with enough soul to blow them out of the water forever.

Call me paranoid, but I don’t think anyone could be stupid enough to combine emo, metal and prog-rock accidentally. It’s too plainly apparent that the result of the union would be the most ungodly abomination ever wrought on mankind. Coheed & Cambria are up to something. Maybe they’re trying to destroy music, maybe they’re some kind of elaborate performance art piece to demonstrate how stupid American rock fans are, or maybe they just enjoy making sane people cringe.

    ROFL.

I give you a 0/10. You show very little indie aptitude, perhaps you are in the wrong group. YOu earned a 0 for having Coheed, Nickelback, Kid Rock, Green Day, Linkin Park,My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, all who are quite arguably, in my opinion the worst bands to have ever plagued the earth.

    hahahaha. :x

You've got this crazy eclectic triphopfunkkindapopnotsomuchcalmoldiesfunnew-ies thing going on. And I dig it.

I haven't heard of some of the bands, but those I have, I like.

    It's weird.

    I think I love you.

(Oh I do fear I'm kidding)

7.9/10 -- but only because I haven't heard of some of 'em, love. And I'm sure they're fantastic.

i'd love to get inside your head, but i've misplaced my scalpel

nice baby face though. make it 9/10

  • i'm going 8.5 out of 10 on this one. i like the jens lekman, mogwai, new order, etc. you have a good variety- i haven't heard of some stuff on your page though.
and having slowdive's "when the sun hits" as one of your number 5 songs definitely deserves a pat on the back.

  • 8/10

for death cab. and postal service

  • 7/10

The Vines, Spoon, Red Hot Chili Peppers

  • 8/10

    Fairly choice selections.

Consider the individual looking back at you,
    condemned to perpetual left-handedness,
    every morning when you shave.
  • don't know most of the bands in your top 10, but you get a 7/10 for Deerhoof, Fugazi and Spoon.

    [edit] Fuck, beaten.

    Reveiew of Random Redhead.

    Begin at a 7/10 (Average)

    -2 for Green Day.
+1 for old school No Doubt
-2 for Jesus Christ that's a lot of Death Cab for Cutie
+2 for The Dears. Period. Canadian will earn a friend out of me.
-2 for the Gorillaz. I don't like image centric bands that much as it is, and their fictional history drives me mental. Too overhyped.
-1 for Jimmy Eat World. They've cooled down, but were never that good to start.
+2 for the Unicorns. What did I tell you about Canadian rock?
+0 for The Arcade Fire. +1 for talent, -1 for overhype. Did you hear them before they were on the cover of Time?
+1 for Havana Rail Co. Usually I dock marks for overly political bands, but it's not five-iron frenzy, and their composition doesn't blow.
    +1 for Deerhoof
    and
+1 for Jesus Christ that's a lot of Canadian shit.

    8/10 Overall.
Notes: Have to warn you about that Green Day, and some of the new No Doubt. And coldplay? For shame. Otherwise, christ, you've even got Metric on there. It's like you hijacked most of my Canadian shit.

Review of tksB because I'm not a dick, and he does deserve a review.

    Start at 7/10 (average) again.

+0 for CunnignLynguists. Bad puns and hip hop do not a hipster make.
+0 for Sweedish rap? Never heard of it, but goddamn if that isn't obscure.
+1 for Modest Mouse. Though even cheerleaders listen to them now, their credibility is not dashed.
    -3 for Millencollin and NOFX. It's 2006.
+1 for Laakso, indie pop is the new emo.
+2 for Jesusfuckingchrist I don't know any of this sweedish shit, but dammit, you're supporting your own, so I can't help but commend you on it.

    Overall: 9/10.
Notes: I wasn't aware there was a Sweedish hip hop scene. But way to support your local shit. You have me left completely in the dark as to whether or not any of this stuff is any good, but even if it isn't, but with good music fans like you, Sweedish Hip Hop artists won't be starving any time soon.

Also: 2006 Witner Olympics. Men's Ice Hockey. Fuck you Sweeden.
    (All in jest of course.)

    partipo:

The power metal band Dragonforce has to reduce a point from you (...and what's Duran Duran doing there? ;)). Other than that, some fine British bands and everything. Although they're not in my top 10, I can quite well have a listen to them.

    8/10

  • atually lets go w/ 8/10

  • We are Scientists are amazing, Molfmother, although im not a fan of Alkaline Trio...you do get points for the Beatles though they are classic
