Sally Fowler everyone! Maybe she is a bit more "folk" than "indie", but she did release this album as an independent artist, if that even means anything nowdays. I find her music very lovable. She also runs a youtube channel where she covers all kinds of songs, but it appears she also has great songwriting skills. Not one weak song on her first album.

    Wooden Ambulance

So, my latest treasure, Wooden Ambulance sounds a lot like Calexico and Tom Waits got together to cover a bunch of Lambchop songs. But occasionally Greg Dulli and the Afghan Whigs step in, and take over to spice it up a bit.

and a little disclaimer: this is not "indie folk" in its truest form and sense, but I doubt anyone will really mind. It's just too good not to recommend it :)
