I love nature, and I love the tranquillity it causes inside of me. But bringing in concepts of gods or spirits is over the top and not rational. Something can be beautiful and lovely without a higher power or meaning. //Naturalist, humanist and atheist.

pantheism is not a religion. do you understand what the word religion actually means?

Ok, then. To be honest I don`t care whether You call it religion or philosophy. But first of all, ethymology doesn`t explain the current meaning of a word. It is just its source. In pantheism you can use word "absolute" except "god", actually I think it is undefinable, but the most important thing is, that pantheism has a rational character. Unlike religions, which are based on irrational fondation. btw. have You ever heard of philosophy of religion?

Whereas, Philosophy comes from {philos (=φίλος=friend + sophy=σοφία=wisdom} thus by default studying philosophy means being a "Friend of Wisdom" above all - regardless of making statements about god. So, Pantheism is not a philosophy, it's a RELIGION.

Pantheism IS a religion, etymologically BY DEFAULT. Pan (παν=Everything, a greek word) + theism (θεισμός=concerning God=Θεός). Hence, Pantheism holds the position that God is in everything, which a religious, supernatural and Trandescendent statement.

@Neue_regel_, do you consider pantheism as a religion? For me it`s rather philosophy of life.

Nature is just too complex and yet so easily beautiful. And I am not just talking about the vast and diverse nature here on Earth.
