Group for everyone interested in finding new bands and tunes, lost treasures, news and all time classics.

The Mellotron is a keyboard that appeared in the early-60's with
a few keys dedicated to the accompaniment of the melodical part.

Those keys launched magnetic tapes thus allowing to obtain the
sound of an orchestra for a cheaper cost (the first objective of
this keyboard being economic).

Some years later, it was diverted for the peculiar sound it
produced by some bands of the 60/70s among which the Beatles,
King Crimson, Pink Floyd...

With its ability to play musical loops, le Mellotron precedes
the sampler, a major instrument in the electronic music
revolution.

As for the Mellotron you have here, it has no other objective
than bringing you some lost treasures, new releases and all
time classics!
