Sick and tired of "pretty" airheaded female musicians? This is a group for discussing and promoting serious musicians that happen to be female. Yes this is a Paris Hilton Free Zone.

While many of these artists are attractive, beauty does not gurantee talent, therefore judge the music not the body.

All genres welcome from pop to metal

This is the kind of group that will undoubtedly produce music snobbery of the highest order. Those whose feelings get hurt easily should
probably not join.

Keep in mind this is a group for talented female musicians. Acts like Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears wont be included on the talent list unless reasonable arguements with conclusive evidence can be made. Same goes for removal of acts from the list.

Look up how the charts are calculated before complaining about them. Alternately, click on "unique to this group" and you won't see any Gaga.

Ok More female singers and musicians who should be here IMO: Astrid Van der Veen( Ambeon), Simone Simmons(Epica),Liz Buckimham the queen of thick riffs( Electric Wizard),Edith Piaf(how could you guys miss her?), and the guitarist and shreiker of Kylesa, and Mkannibal of Sigh the Queen of Growls.

@Lights whoops she is there. I forgot :P she'll stay up because she does indeed possess talent (and more importantly use it) even though she's not my cup of tea @Akromatop really? how? M uses pop music to construct songs questioning media ideals and F uses a variety of folk sensibilities combined with lush instrumentals to create ethereal strong pop music. The only real similarity I can construct is that both singers have similarly structured stage names, distinct powerful voices, dabble in pop music (not just pop, but good pop music), and both same out within a similar time period.
