This group is dedicated to guitar begginers, its goal is to provide advises, lessons... Gfd's was created to help both acoustic and electric players, and guide them until they become decent musicians.

A place you'll fit in whatever you listen to. We're open to all guitar players, folk, pop-rock, rock, hard rock, metal...
Learning guitar basics shouldn't be that hard. Follow this group advices and practice half an hour on a daily basis.(or more if you want to)
You'll eventually improve and the group's lessons will evolve matching your level.
Of course your first few weeks/months playing are not gonna sound very good ! This has absolutely nothing to do with your potential. Even the best guitar players went through the "I suck" phase, keep that in mind...Don't give up ! Pratice makes it perfect should be your leitmotiv !
Let's join the group, share tips, help each other and find easy songs to play...

A friend told me my action was really high. I adjusted the truss rod, and chords are ridiculously easy to hold now, gosh, wish I knew that from the start.

Is it bad if my wrist is killing me? I dunno if it's from holding it wrong while playing guitar or if it was when I landed on it playing basketball a week or so ago, but damn, it hurts.

Yeah, went through this tutorial, it doesn't sound bad at all. But this is a bit more than just strumming a chord, I think I have to find some Music Theory For Dummies books :).

I was just playing on the guitar this hour and chord things just seem to.. I can't think of a better word to describe it than "Click". Chord changes just became ridiculously easy as my fingers moved without no more thought than thinking of the chord I wanted! I managed to go 5-10 minutes like this before I decided to post something here. Did anyone else have anything like this happen to them before? And should I not expect this to last and keep practicing along with new things?
