Welcome to Jamrock
Didn't make it - if it had been released later in the year it may have stood a chance. Then again, the other big reggae-ish (or rasta) track Big City Lights by Mattafix didn't make it either.
#98. Standing in the Way of Control
I like to think my vote pushed it over the line (along with several hundred people!)
good to see tarantula (#88) made it in as well.
#70. Such Great Heights
#62. We are your friends
#60. Over and Over
The indie dance, a recent phenomenon, didn't make it that high. At least I can be thankful they made it at all: 3 years ago, they wouldn't have...
#26. Ta douleur
She introduced her song and was so thankful and cute - she couldn't believe people across the world loved a song in a language they couldn't understand :)
#18. Supermassive Black Hole
It peeved me that starlight (#9) did better than this. Just because out of all the tracks on the album, it's my least favourite and I feel, the most commercial. blergh.
#14. Here It Goes Again
Treadmills were always going to do well :)
#8. Hearts a Mess
I'm glad my songs did as well as they did - vindicates my music taste and all :)
I'm even more glad that One Crowded Hour came in at #1. I think that it was completely unexpected (I thought it'd be Crazy) and that they definately deserve it! I was obsessive with this band for awhile and I'm going to see them in concert with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Hurrah for Augie March!
