"NILE drummer George Kollias is writing and recording a solo album in between drum clinics and touring cycles. Due in September, the CD, which is primarily set to show off some of George's craziest metal drumming to date, is being completely written and recorded by George, including the guitars, bass, keys, vocals, and percussion, and it will also feature a DVD of the recording process."

Massive speed, power and precision. He's exceptionally calm and collected when playing, and not many drummers retain that composure playing overly fast and endurance-testing material like Nile. Personally, my favourite extreme metal drummer is Stormlord's David Folchitto (incredible drummer), but honestly, Kollias is in a class of his own as far as extreme metal drummers go.
