Late late late late reply. @Shades, and others. I've heard of Explosions in the Sky. I downloaded their legal free stuff several years back. I can dig it. It's not in heavy rotation, but once in a while it gets a listen. Back when I was still a Christian, my small group leader loved "Your Hand in Mine." Good times.

I'm aware of overrated crap, I'm not against listening to non-mainstream artists, and I'm starting to be discerning, yet I gravitate toward well known artists. I'm still a noob. At this point, I'd rather not waste my time sorting through a bunch of unknowns, no disrespect to them. I like music, but much like politics, it's not a top priority for me. Maybe once I've got a bit more grounding I'll become less passive. Maybe I'll be in a band someday, but not now.
