Here's the aforementioned book by George H. Smith. Now you don't have an excuse of not being able to read it. Atheism: The Case Against God. And if it doesn't persuade you to the atheist position, atleast you will have a better understanding of what you are trying to argue against.

Job 39:19 "Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?" If, as we are continually told, evolution is a fact, why is it that human technology improves when we copy designs found in nature? If nature is really a giant trial-and-error experiment, we should not only find evidence of less-sophisticated designs in the distant past, but humans today should be able to improve on designs found in nature. Humans copy the Creator. Science has long known that an object moving through water or air moves with the least resistance when the ratio of its length to diameter is four to one. This ratio is found in the fastest swimmers in the sea – like the tuna, dolphin and swordfish. A Boeing 707, with a ratio of nine to one, experiences much more resistance than the larger, fatter 747, which has a ratio of six to one – much closer to the tuna and the dolphin. If you are so convinced, then questioning your beliefs should be no problem. If true, they should hold up against questioning. I suggest reading ATHEISM: The Case Against God by George H. Smith. Also, I find Christianity to be disgustingliy nihilistic. It's only one who believes in religion like that, that when they lose their faith they see everything as meaningless and empty. I don't view life like that, at all because I never accepted when I was young that life has meaning BECAUSE of God. The grass grows BECAUSE of God. It's really infantile and stupid.

GOD LIVES. That's how a blade of grass grows. GOD LIVES. That's how the evening stars glow. There are those who might explain the contents of a drop of rain, the reasons for a beating heart but who made all of these things start? GOD LIVES within our hearts and in the Heavens above. GOD LIVES, you'd know it if you've known the force of love. So I'll work and play and laugh and cry, have faith and pray until I die! And that's how it must be... That's how it must be. For GOD LIVES 'cause I live and GOD LIVES within me. I have only this to say to those who say God is dead: They have killed God within themselves and therefore are themselves dead--Not physically dead, but spiritually dead. Hope is dead, courage is dead, faith is dead, love is dead. Everything is dead within themselves. Let us try to give them understanding in love; Perhaps this might rekindle the spirit within them. Perhaps this might make them once again believe in God and also in themselves. -Tennessee Ernie Ford

I have created a new group. It's an interactive story that is in the form of notes....and the subject matter is Star Wars. You do not have to know anything about Star Wars in order to participate. If you don't know anything about it, I could explain everything that you would need to know. It's a group for fun.....and a stress reliever for me. Here is the link to the new group: http://www.last.fm/group/Star+Wars+Notes Please feel free to join :)
