A group for people who aren't ashamed to sing along to the cheesiest, corniest heavy metal in a non-ironic manner. Anyone who doesn't hide the Dio and Manowar albums when people come over. All metal styles welcome - hard rock, power, thrash, nwobhm, death, black, blackened death, deathened black, grindcore, doom, stoner, what have you - because cheese has been with metal from the beginning, and if we abandon it, we abandon metal.

So go ahead, rock all the metal clichés without fear or shame: the cheesy naked-chicks-and-swords fantasy art, the dragons, the cartoonish Satanism, the comic book imagery, the obsession with Vikings and beer and J.R.R. Tolkien... it's all good. It may be cheesy, but what the hell's wrong with that? Who says you can't laugh and rock out at the same time? Who doesn't smile when they hear a corny old metal song come on the radio? Who says we have to take ourselves and our music so goddamn seriously? Take it too seriously, and you kill the magic, you kill the joy, and you miss the point. Don't you know that metal is the most hated music in the world (except maybe polka), not because it's "intimidating," which it hasn't been since 1972, but because it's corny as hell and still somehow takes itself too seriously? It's not the cheese that's been ruining our favorite music, it's this whole "METAL R SEERIUS BIZNESS" attitude that makes us look really stupid! It doesn't have to be that way! HORNS UP! \m/
