    New from Boomkat: 14 Tracks

    Boomkat's now launched www.14tracks.com.

    From the about page:

We've been obsessively listening to, writing about and selling music from all ends of the musical spectrum for almost a decade, and in that time we've amassed a vast catalogue of material that we've wanted the world to know about; music that might not always find a place in the mainstream or get much shelf-space on the high-street. You know - the special stuff.

We've created '14 Tracks' because we feel it's now harder than ever to wade through the sheer volume of music available out there and find what you're looking for.
Regardless of whether you're knowledgeable and thirsty for music but just don't have much spare time, or whether you've been introduced to a kind of music - be it Dub, Pop, Techno, Dubstep, Modern Classical, Americana or whatever else - and want to find more but just don't know how, or where to start. Or maybe you just want someone to put together a selection of music that will soundtrack your next train journey or evoke images of places you've never been to - but you want that selection to be fresh and exciting and, even better, completely new to you.

So... 14 tracks at a time belonging to a loosely themed selection, which can then be bought on Boomkat, using an existing account if you have one or by signing up for one.

As it's fresh out the oven there may be one or two issues (being too freaking wide screen for it's own good is one of them, but that's being worked on) but if you've been on Boomkat and thought "where the hell do I start?" then this is probably a good place.

  • This is a great initiative, I like it!
