    HTTP proxy

Any chance of implementing support for HTTP proxy requests? I'm behind a firewall at work and need to enter in my proxy details to let scrobbler handshake.

Would be nice :D I might have a go at hacking together some stuff if you want to give me some tips or something?

    Cheers....

    works for me

I'm behind a firewall too but it seems to work okay for me. I'm not sure what you need to set to get it to work though. I have the proxy set in the MP3 plugin and also have the http_proxy environment variable set (e.g. http_proxy=proxy:8080)

Yes! Seems like this one is working. Just to point out that if you (like me) are behind a proxy that needs authorization just export the variable like this:

    export http_proxy="http://username:password@someproxyurl:port"

and then run xmms/beep from that shell (or make the variable global)
It did the trick for me :)

    cheers!
