  • I'm looking at two weeks without an update here, as well. I'm also curious as to why it wouldn't be happening. I've probably listened to a few hundred songs in the last two weeks. It doesn't seem like the servers are overloaded or anything. I'll admit it's a little frustrating, but I do realize that this is a work in progress (and it's free). Also, seems like a lot of people who've posted on here have their lists update right after they complain. I figure I'll test that hypothesis :D

    Edit: Haha, it worked!

Same here for me. Very frustrating because now it seems that everyone have their top list updated .

    Quoth mdragon:
I'm constantly amazed at people's ability to track down the few unlocked threads and use them to complain. This thread was originally created in NOVEMBER of 2004, do you really think any AS folks are going to care to read it anymore?

mdragon, the administrators of the site do post and the forums moderators does read and reply. RNR posted a thread as recently as 4/17. giveuptheghost has replied to another thread within the last three hours.

My point wasn't that the admins didn't care, my point was the admins get feed up with all these idiots spamming all the news posts with 5,000 "ME TOO" posts whenever something goes slightly south.

    Quoth stilicho:
Obviously the site does have issues -- more often than not, to be honest -- and I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing they would communicate with us more effectively (there really should be a permanent status page that we can always check). It would cut down on a lot of repetitive forum posting, which is tiresome for them as well as us to read.

Or people could just not post stupid ME TOO posts.

    Quoth stilicho:
But you can't accuse them of outright disappearing or not caring.

    Never did

    Quoth stilicho:
Besides, the idea that because the thread was created in 11/04 means nobody pays attention to it is patent nonsense. You read it, and posted in it. Maybe the most-recent-post date is a more effective barometer of whether a thread is being paid attention to.

Last I checked I'm not an admin, and I have no ability to fix anything on the site. I just get tired of the RSS feed pulling up news posts from 5 months ago to the top of the feed cause idiots have to post "ME TOO" a lot.

    Edit: I can't spell.
