Great finish to this year's Wintercase Festival.
First up - El perro del mar. Delightful set from singer/songwriter Sarah, who played piano, strummed guitar, but most importantly sang her sad songs with real feeling.
Main attraction - Scott Matthew. Like so many of this year's wintercase artists, Scott depends totally on his voice, and tonight it didn't let him down. Accompanied by piano, 'cello and guitar, he played ukulele and sang. Wistful, poignant and intelligent, his songs made us feel sad. But they cheered us up too. It's a cruel world, but there are happy wintercase people wherever you look.
We're all after the same rainbow's end. Go for it!
