Descripción

T TUNSTALL - always delivers! From the young busker who burst onto the UK’s ‘Later’ programme with Jools Holland way back in 2004 – pumping her ‘Wee Bastard’ loop machine into highly infectious rhythms and beats; KT Tunstall has grown in voice and maturity through 4 albums and a swag of best-selling singles to become an inspired alt-country singer-songwriter.
The albums: "Eye To The Telescope", "KT Tunstall's Acoustic Extravaganza", "Drastic Fantastic" and "Tiger Suit" spawned anthemic singles like: "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree", "Other Side Of The World", "Hold On", "If Only", "(Still A) Weirdo" and the Ivor Novello Award winning "Suddenly I See". Along the way there's been 3 BRIT nominations and one win - the BRIT award for British Female Solo Artist; the prestigious Ivor Novello Award, and a Grammy Award Nomination.

Then .... time passes ... and collaborations with the likes of Suzanne Vega, Jools Holland, Daryl Hall, Robyn Hitchcock and Martin & Eliza Carthy opened her eyes and her mind to the fact she was not just a pop musician - but a world-class singer - with a rich and intimate vocal range that has enchanted critics, music buyers and fans alike:
"Melodically perfect and lyrically heartfelt and with vocals that trip the eloquent song writing fantastically, KT has on her hands a delicate masterpiece." - Daily Express (UK)
KT TUNSTALL's new album has stunned fans and critics alike with its completely new alt-country direction. Gone is the commercial pop songwriter with a belting bluesy voice and a fondness for rootsy rhythms. In its place - a product of two sessions with Giant Sand frontman Howe Gelb - is an album of two halves, temporally and physically. Together, they have produced the album of Kate Victoria Tunstall's life. 'Invisible Empire//Crescent Moon' may well be an album coloured by melancholy, but it is - in KT's own words: "about singing" ... and the critics wholeheartedly agree:

"it's a stunner. In fact, there's little here that doesn't make you wander where Tunstall has been hiding all this beauty until now." - The Guardian (UK)
