An historic line-up featuring two pioneers of mesmerising music, exploring improvisation, groove, texture and motif.
The cult Australian trio The Necks conjure unique music that can’t be pinned down to avant-garde, minimalist or jazz. The Guardian describes The Necks as ‘one of the most extraordinary groups on the planet…not so much a trio as a revolutionary consortium redefining music.’
Second on the bill is Harold Budd, who has been described as ‘possibly the world’s finest ambient keyboard composer’ (Mark Prendergast, Ambient Century). Budd’s stellar collaborations include Brian Eno, David Sylvian and The Cocteau Twins. For this tour he performs with acclaimed improvisational bass player and composer Werner Dafeldecker.
Presented by Sound and Music. Co-produced by gogobetween and Tusk Music. In association with No Nation.
