@jc_Sed8d heh maybe you manage to go only on the nights where Mr Overly Conscientious Security Guy isn't working? He was there when I saw Silverchair and being pretty rabid about people not jumping around. :/

Shame to hear about this mosh pit further back! I guess all you get for standing at the front nowadays is lots of defensive looking 14yr olds who won't move at all. @hershadowatwork Must be a new thing - been to Brixton loads of times and never had a problem before. Last gig there was The Offspring last year and the crowd was allowed to be absolutely mental.

had a really good time at this! hated the first band on though ha awful. was near the front for afi, liked the setlist was pretty good overall.

Was a bit of a strange gig and a strange crowd First time I've ever moved back at a gig to get a better position. We started off at the front and were surrounded by screaming 14 year olds and ended up moving back after the first couple of songs in search of a better atmosphere. Eventually found the mosh pit (which was really far back) and some more friends and it ended up being a really fun night.

I was maybe three, four rows back from the front, right in the middle, and had people asking me if I had enough room, saying excuse me and all that. Like, it was sweet, but bitch please. I came to a punk rock gig and went to where I thought the pit would be in the hopes that I would be at least shoved a bit but nothing. Still, agree with the rest, Havok is a such a good front man and they were a brilliant band to see.

I don't know where everyone else was - the crowd round me were pretty great. :oD The sound was a bit off and some more old stuff would have been good but I still had a fantastic time and will definitely try to see AFI on their next tour.

Also, it was my buddy's first gig at Brixton, said it was the best gig he'd ever been too, which I was chuffed about. Brilliant night!

Hmm, glad to see it wasn't just me being overly-analytical about the sound quality and the crowd. I'd said to my buddy that several circle pits would probably open up, I was lucky if I saw one. Some guys in front of us were acting as if they were at a Pendulum gig...raving during 'On the Arrow'? Seriously!? It was odd, I was stood right in front of the sound desk, and Jade's guitar got lost in the mix so many times, and I heard no backing vocals. Quite bizaare, but it speaks volumes about AFI themselves that it didn't make a blind jot of difference to the quality of the show. Brillaint job, the light show was the best I'd ever seen, and AFI are probably THE best, most well-drilled, tight band I've ever seen. Havok is a natural showman, fantastic skill, and Puget was rocking and rolling so much! Great work guys, and I was eating humble pie about SOIA, they blew me away. Great work, even when the power went halfway through.
