Bumbershoot always forces me to find new music since I've never heard of most of the bands there. Seattle supplied all my great new finds with killer acts like Past Lives, Sleepy Eyes of Death, and Truckasaurus. Other highlights were Natalie Portman's Shaved Head (way too fun), Gang Gang Dance, and Akron/Family.

btw, some people actually get their information about music beyond last.fm. if you knew anything about anything, you'd know that bumblefoot has been "active" at making music since he was 3 years old (ok I give you that would have been the 1972). And i'm told he came out of the womb, shredding on the umbilical chord. This mixed with the fact that his birth name is bumblefoot (born 1969 c.e.); I'm maintianing my story that this festival stole his name, and i continue to boycott. boom, boom NOW. viva la resistance.
